I took a career break in 2007 realising a childhood dream of working for British Airways as an air stewardess. Being paid to visit some of the most beautiful cities; my favourite being Rome, full of history and romance, was a period in my life that I will never forget. Urban & Country Homes started in 2012 with my business partner Linda. Opening in a recession was a calculated risk but we are thankful that the business has grown beyond our expectations. Linda Haycox - Director I have lived in Dorset since the age of 13 initially in Blandford before moving firstly to Poole and then to Ferndown for 14 years. Having enjoyed a very successful career in recruitment, I realised a long held dream and moved with my husband Mike and, then two young children, Jaime and Adam, to Javea in Spain where we had over 6 happy years. Five years ago we returned to the UK and I started a new career in the property industry where I met Louise. We operate right across the BH postal code area and offer a cost effective but personal service Outside of work I enjoy travelling, tennis, cycling and generally keeping fit along with spending time with family and friends and our two dogs Monty & Pepa. With a proven track record in being cute and cuddly Pickle was the stand out candidate from 9 highly charged cockapoo puppies. Pickle works tirelessly to promote the Urban & Country Homes brand and is available for cuddles at our now extremely popular offices! We asked Pickle to tell us why Urban & Country Homes was such a good fit - 'I was recently looking to sell my kennel [I use mummy's bed now] and was attracted to the girls at U&CH due to the fantastic value for money fees of just 0.85% plus VAT.
